About notMYkid

notMYkid, a non-profit based in Scottsdale, Arizona, has built an array of high impact prevention education and early intervention programs focused on substance use, bullying, relationships, body image, mental health, and internet safety for youth and their families. Their school and community-based programs strive to enhance resiliency, confidence, and character; and educate youth and adults on where to go and how to ask for help if they or someone they know is struggling with a mental or behavioral health issue. Since the arrival of COVID-19 and the growing mental health crisis impacting children, notMYkid recently expanded services to also provide outpatient counseling, peer support, and well-being programs.

About the 2021 Golf Tournament

Frontline healthcare workers have selflessly provided care to others during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under immense pressure, they have put their physical and mental health at risk. This exposure to excessive stress for prolonged periods can have harmful consequences. The onset of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders are on the rise. The risk of suicide among frontline healthcare workers is increasing. Compassion fatigue and burnout are results from chronic workplace stress and exposure to traumatic events during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Proceeds from The Meadows Institute 1st Annual Golf4Recovery Invitational benefit Mental Health First Aid, support groups and counseling for frontline healthcare workers through Banner Health Foundation. Banner Strong-Center for Healing offers a variety of on-site and on-demand well-being, emotional/mental health, healing and support activities for individual workers and their families during the pandemic and beyond.
