Help for Those Who Are Hurting

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, an estimated 21 million Americans — more than the number of people who have all cancers combined — suffer from a substance use disorder involving alcohol or drugs. Only 4 million received treatment, or about 19% of those who needed it.

There is a large disparity between the number of individuals in need of trauma and addiction treatment and the number that receive it. One common barrier to treatment is a lack of funding, our scholarship aid initiative is dedicated to helping patients get the care they need to support recovery.

The Process

Our online application is open on the first three days of each month. All applicants must be 18 years old or older and use this portal to apply. The application is designed to give us a comprehensive understanding of your needs, your current health, and your financial resources. Funding availability will determine if the application will be sent to our committee for review or put on a waitlist until more funds become available.

The TMI scholarship committee meets once a month to review the applications.  Once a recipient is notified of a scholarship opportunity, a personal interview and health assessment will occur. We partner with treatment providers across the country to match you with a treatment program that best fits your needs. Full and partial scholarships for inpatient and outpatient treatment will be awarded.
